Creatine Benefits: What Strength, Aging and Brain Studies Show

Dark featured card reading Creatine Benefits, with the number 3-5 and the caption grams a day in most trials, from The Well Brew fitness section

Creatine benefits are clearest for strength and power. Meta-analyses of more than 50 trials show small but steady strength gains, and older adults who lift weights gain about 1.37 kg more lean tissue. The usual dose is 3 to 5 grams of creatine monohydrate a day, with no loading needed. Expect 1 to 2 kg of early water weight. Memory effects are limited.
