Saw Palmetto for Prostate: What 27 Studies Found for BPH

Brown The Well Brew card reading Saw palmetto for prostate, what the trials found, with faint capsule outlines

Saw palmetto does not appear to help an enlarged prostate. A 2023 Cochrane review of 27 trials and 4,656 men found little to no difference from placebo in urinary symptoms. The NIH-funded STEP and CAMUS trials found no benefit at 320 mg a day or at three times that dose. It is generally safe and does not change PSA results.
