Berberine for Weight Loss: What the Evidence Says

Soft The Well Brew card in the Metabolism and Appetite category titled Berberine for Weight Loss, with a label panel listing 0.88 kg average loss in 23 trials, 1 g a day studied dose and up to 6 months trial length.

Berberine may help with weight loss, but only a little. A 2026 analysis of 23 trials found about 0.88 kg (2 pounds) more loss than control groups, and a 337-person trial found no change in belly fat after 6 months at 1 g a day. It is not a natural Ozempic. Stomach upset is common, and it interacts with several medicines, so ask your doctor first.

Read the label first. Then decide.
